Marilia Maciel is a researcher and coordinator of the Center for Technology and Society of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (CTS/FGV) in Rio de Janeiro. 

She is also a lecturer and tutor in courses offered by DiploFoundation, such as the Internet Governance Capacity Building Program and the course on E-diplomacy. She serves as a Member of ICANN 

Non-commercial Users Constituency (NCUC) and representative of NCUC in NCSG Policy Committee.
